Tyler State Park has miles of paved trails. The Schofield Covered Bridge crosses the Neshaminy Creek on one of these trails. The bridge was a victim of arson in 1991 and rebuilt in 1997. The bridge carries the Tyler Park bridle/hiking path over the Neshaminy Creek. Since it is not open to vehicles, you can park in the nearby parking lot and walk about 500 yards to the bridge.
Lake Nockamixon is one of the larger lakes in Bucks County. They offer boat rentals and trails. Continue reading
Peace Valley Park has boat rentals. The park itself provides extensive paved trails. If you want to get out on the water and don’t have a boat you can rent one. Peace Valley is a much smaller lake than Lake Nocamixon.
There are Civil War Re-enactments at Neshaminy State Park. We visited one in April 2013. Along with the battle re-enactment, there are campsites and tables with vendors and food. It’s a great day to visit some history. Continue reading
