The Rose Bank Winery is located just outside of Newtown, PA.
Tyler State Park has miles of paved trails. The Schofield Covered Bridge crosses the Neshaminy Creek on one of these trails. The bridge was a victim of arson in 1991 and rebuilt in 1997. The bridge carries the Tyler Park bridle/hiking path over the Neshaminy Creek. Since it is not open to vehicles, you can park in the nearby parking lot and walk about 500 yards to the bridge.
We visited the Waterwheel Tavern in Doylestown for a late lunch. We were going to go to a chain restaurant but a last minute changed proved to be an excellent choice.
We like to stop in Karla’s for an occasional drink or dinner. This is the building across the street.
The Bucks County Playhouse and some of the surrounding properties are undergoing some serious construction. Plans are underway to improve the theater, add dining and rooms and create a river walk. (2019 – much of the work has been completed)
During the summer months, you can find some amazing cars and motorcycles in New Hope such as this beautiful 1971 Chevelle.
The Ferry Market is in a newly renovated building (2018) across from the Logan Inn on Main Street in New Hope. We thought it was simply a collection of shops. It turned out that the Ferry Market is an Upscale Food Court.
I try to keep this blog apolitical but the edicts of the wolf administration are screwing Pennsylvania businesses.
The Southampton Train Station has been in various states of disrepair despite efforts to restore and save it. The Station is located in Upper Southampton. These photos are from between 2007 and 2009 or perhaps a bit earlier.
The SEPTA Fox Chase – Newtown line stopped at County Line, Southampton, Churchville, The George School and Newtown. It carried freight and passengers.
