A tour of Bucks County, Pennsylvania

New Hope

New Hope is a town on the banks of the Delaware River in Bucks County Pennsylvania known for it’s artists, dining, old buildings, theater and canal.

New Hope is home to the Bucks County Playhouse which recently added a restaurant, The Deck with river views.  The town has a diverse selection of nightlife and restaurants. Karla’s has some excellent food and drink to name one. If you are looking for something very informal try the Ferry Market. It is a food court suited to a variety of tastes.

If you love trains, the main station of the New Hope Railroad is in the center of town. Excursions run from New Hope throughout most of the year.

Depending on the water level, there are boat rides available on the canal. You can also walk along the scenic towpath.

There are a number of unusual and eclectic shops throughout the town. The Creeper Gallery has some, well, creepy stuff. In addition to a lot of retro items, Love Saves the Day has a macabre collection of mannequins in the alley next to their shop.
