High Tides is closed Permanently – 2020

It seems that complaints from the neighborhood as well as numerous calls to police have resulted in High Tides being closed by the LCB.

One Croydon resident reportedly has called police over 200 times over the past two years due to complaints of loud music, yelling, fighting, gun shots, fireworks, and allegations that the bar has been open until 4 a.m.

According to Pennsylvania liquor code, a court can cease operations of a liquor establishment for a year if authorities provide sufficient liquor code violations, police incidents and community complaints.

The shutdown occurred around November 2019. If the quote above is correct, there is a chance they could re-open this November. (note that High Tides did NOT re-open)

High Tides Restaurant

We’ve been to High Tides a couple of times. Their huge deck and outside bar offers a great view of the Neshaminy Creek. They have a large floating dock which draws a lot of boats. The food and service are great.  In addition to the outdoor dining there are large indoor rooms for dining or events as well as a bar.

There can be wait times for the outside deck but it is well worth it.

We got the crab and spinach dip a couple of times. Screw the diet. The dip is fantastic. You could almost make a meal on that.
