Rabid Raccoon found in Bucks County

Rabies is a disease that is almost always 100% fatal. Every year, there are animals in Bucks County that test positive and people who are exposed to the disease.

A raccoon found in Buckingham had tested positive for the Rabies Virus.

People should educate themselves as to

  • the nature of the disease
  • the dangers of sick or dead animals
  • proper protection for their pets
  • what to do if there is any chance you were exposed to the disease.
