Picnics at Peace Valley Park

There are 5 Pavilions each with a capacity of 100 people. There is a charge for their use and reservations are suggested. In addition there are picnic tables throughout the park. Check the Bucks County Parks picnics page for more details.

Sometimes, you just have to have fun when shooting pictures. If it weren't for copyright issues, I'd have Blondie's song, "The Tide is High" playing on this page.  The real explanation is boring. This was shot after heavy rains following a summer long drought. Someone probably moved the bench closer to the water when the lake was at a low level.  Of course, situating the table like this does eliminate pesky ants.

A lone picnic bench on Lake Galena that is located in a slightly drier, but somewhat more tilted location.  Don't let this worry you. There are plenty of tables on level surfaces on solid, level ground.
